Just out for a ride through the mountains we saw a turkey and the sky was beautiful. The scenery was beautiful. You can spot the turkey and the two pictures with the trees in the mountain.

Can't stand it anymore . . . got to enjoy this weird, warm weather! At the last minute, I called a friend and we went on a nice stroll at Roaring Run on Sunday. It just felt good to get outside to do something (can't mow, can't plant garden, no tanning allowed). I have a habit of doing things "off the cuff" anyway. There were a few smiling faces we met along the way. It's funny how people you run into on the trails are always happy! I sometimes have a "pickle" face but it is just because I'm watching my step . . . grandma is a little off balance these days! I want to thank Exhiking for patiently teaching me to get out and take strolls in nature and enjoy it! Don't deny yourself the pleasure!

Everyone has been spoiled by the beautiful, sunny days since the frigid cold spell a few weeks back. I can't believe the number of folks who are grabbing their kids (or dogs) and going for a long walk. I joined them this past weekend and discovered Read Mtn Preserve which I never knew was there! I really enjoyed the trek up the mountains even though the height started to make me weary the higher we went. Sure, granny was a little shaky, but the woman passed with flying colors! Met up with a few friendly faces and lots of puppy kisses. I'm sure there will be a return trip soon.
