A double hike started off cloudy but mild. The second day consisted of blue sky with chilly temperatures. Both hikes were excellent; the teenagers were excited and scampered ahead on the trail when they could. My conversations with the group leader were fruitful, and I'm sure he'll be headed back for more Appalachian exploration. It's the perfect place to contemplate universal themes.
